Discover Something to Motivate You to Exercise

Even though most people are aware of how significant exercise is to weight reduction, many have trouble making themselves do it. There are others who never can seem to find the time. Reality is that developing an exercise routine can be difficult when you are starting out. The key is developing a lifestyle that is accommodating to an exercise routine.

One thing is for sure: you need to get involved with an exercise plan that will keep your attention. In other words, I want you to be involved in exercises that you enjoy. This will make it natural to get into the daily routine since you want to do it. 

You can even stay home and exercise. For many people this is key because the time and effort it takes to go to a gym often precludes participation in an exercise program. I use a spare bedroom, but I don’t have fancy equipment as you might expect. I don’t need it and neither do you. What you do need is a balance ball and weights that can be adjusted. A mat helps as well as a stationary bicycle. That’s it. You don’t need a lot to get a fat loss program going. By having a way to exercise at home, you will find that it is easy to work out when you don’t have to go across town. The truth is that many people don’t exercise because they don’t like where they exercise. 

What I want you to think about is what might make your exercise time more fun. Whatever you do, you will find that building it on the foundation of activities you enjoy is the key to developing a lifetime of fitness.

Weight Loss Secret

The successful weight loss secret is to burn more calories than you take in. To apply this, you need to adjust your diet by cutting down on high fat food, and take some simple exercise for twenty minutes, three times a week. 

Many medical practitioners now recommend eating more meals a day, with less food at each one. This is a more balanced way to take food into the body, spreading the load on the body over a far wider period of time.

Childhood obesity frequently tracks into adulthood. So increases in childhood obesity are major contributors to the adult obesity epidemic.

High birth weight is a predictor of obesity in adulthood and in cofactors associated with insulin resistance. Obesity is independent risk factors for increased morbidity and mortality throughout the lifecycle. 

Children express the same comorbidities that are associated with being obese as adults. Increase the duration of comorbidities in an individual can increase the impact of a number of risk factors on adult diseases.

There are studies provide strong evidence that higher levels of body mass index (BMI) during childhood can predict overweight later in life. 

Other studies were reviewed and showed that the probability of overweight at 35 years of age for children with BMI in the 85th to 95th percentiles increased with increasing age.

  • Persistence of paediatric obesity into adulthood increases according to the age at which obesity is initially present.

  • The risk of adult obesity was greater in both obese and non-obese children if at least one parent was overweight. This effect was most pronounced in children that were 10 years old.

  • Over the age of 10 years, the child's own obesity status was a better predictor than having an obese parent.

  • In a Japanese study, obesity during childhood is associated with increased likelihood of obesity during adulthood. Approximately one-third of obese children grew into obese adults.

  • The family environment is most important in contributing to the increasing prevalence of obesity. Most likely these increases are associated with increases in food supply and caloric intake accompanied by diminishing levels of physical activity.

  • It is very unlikely that changing gene pools can explain the doubling or even tripling of obesity prevalence rates in certain groups over 20 years; too short a period to affect the genetic background in affected populations.

You should attempt this diet only with expert support and advice. You should also have a follow-up appointment with your physician to check your progress. 

Diets that are very restrictive, for example those that cut out entire food groups, should not be used. This includes diets that cut out all carbohydrates or proteins. These diets are not usually sustainable in the long-term, and may be harmful.  

Increasing the amount of exercise is an effective way to lose weight, and the results are even better when combined with changes to your diet. The most effective types of exercise are ‘aerobic’ activities. The exercise should raise your heart rate and make you breathe harder
You should start your exercise slowly. Thirty minutes of moderate intensity exercise on at least five days of the week.  You should consider extending the amount of exercise to 45 minutes, and then keep increasing this as your fitness level improves.

Medication for obesity may be available from your doctor. You need to show you can lose weight on a calorie controlled diet before it is considered. Medication is normally one part of a weight loss programme, and requires a long-term change in lifestyle for lasting results.

Surgery may be an option if you have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more.  It may also be an option if you have a BMI of 35 and another health problem related to your weight, such as diabetes or arthritis. 

Surgery is used to reduce the size of the stomach and limit how many calories are absorbed by the intestines. Some studies show that people who have weight-loss surgery have a lower risk of dying from heart problems, diabetes, or cancer. 

Along for obesity treatment with lifestyle changes, medicines and surgery; treatment you need depends on your level of obesity, your overall health, and your motivation to lose weight. Your initial goal in obesity treatment should be to improve your health, not to achieve an ideal weight.


What Causes Obesity

  • ·Cushing's syndrome - a rare disorder that causes an over-production of steroid hormones (chemicals produced by the body). 

  • · An under-active thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) - when your thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone (thyroxine).

  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) - when women have a large number of cysts in their ovaries. 


What Is Teenage Obesity

Teenage obesity is responsible for a wide range of health disorders.  It has far reaching health implications that we are today just beginning to unravel. Diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, certain cancers, and so on are lying in wait for the teenager who allows her weight to spiral out of control.

What Is Obesity Definition

Obesity is defined as having an excessive amount of body fat. Excess fat accumulation is associated with increase in the size as well as the number of adipose tissue cells. Measures of weight in proportion to height include relative weight body mass index (BMI). This is a method that more closely correlates with body fat and the metabolic complications of obesity. The Body Mass Index ("BMI") is calculated as follows:

BMI = Weight (in kg.) / Height (in meters) Squared (ht. x ht).

For example, a man who is 5' 10"(1.78 meters) tall and weighs 285 lbs. (~130 kgs.) would have a BMI of 130/(1.78 x 1.78) = ~ 41.

Adults with a BMI of 30 or higher are considered obese. Extreme obesity, also called severe obesity or morbid obesity, occurs when you have a BMI of 40 or more. With morbid obesity, you are especially likely to have serious health problems.

Obesity is posed as a serious public health problem. It is a state in which the natural energy, saved in the fatty tissue, is augmented to a peak where it is a jeopardy factor for definite health circumstances or enlarged mortality. It is more than just a cosmetic concern, though.

Obesity sometime may prove harmful to human beings by causing various diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Does Calorie Counting Work for Weight Loss

Some people think that calories are the "enemy", since eating excess calories leads to excess fat. Thats why most people believe that the fastest way to lose weight is to cut way back on calories each day.

After all, if a dieter is eating 2,500 calories per day and they decide to cut back to 1,500 calories per day
then obviously those extra 1,000 calories have to result in weight loss, right?

 Actually this is not exactly true.

In fact, if you try to cut your calories too much then you'll quickly reach a dieting "plateau" (a point where the scale refuses to drop any lower no matter how little your are eating).

The scenario usually sounds something like this...

One day you look in the mirror and see that your clothes are fitting tighter than normal, and you look more overweight than normal. ...And on this day you get
angry with yourself, you are angry with what you see in the mirror and you decide that youre going to lose weight no matter what it takes.

The Best Way To Fire Up Your Metabolism

Ask ten people what type of exercise they should be doing to burn fat and fire up their metabolism and they’ll all probably tell you the same thing.  They’ll tell you that you need to do 30-40 minutes of moderately-paced aerobic exercise on a treadmill, elliptical machine, stair climber, etc. for 3-5 times per week. 

They’ll probably also tell you that more is better…4 times per week would be better than 3, and 5 times per week would be even better.

People will tell you this because that’s been and continues to be the mainstream recommendation for fat burning by many fitness professionals.  Get in a certain target heart rate and stay at that heart rate for 30 minutes or so, several times per week.  I am here to tell you there is a better way. 

Sure, you’ll burn some calories while you’re running to nowhere on a treadmill, but you won’t make a complete physique transformation with this type of exercise alone.

Seeing Is Believing If You Want To Burn Fat - Or Is It?

As with a good majority of the things we do in life, we rely heavily on our vision or eyesight as the determining factor in whether or not we believe something.  And this is unfortunately the case in trying to burn fat as well.  What’s the old cliché?  A picture is worth a thousand words, right? 
Well, when we lock our eyes onto that photo of that buff guy or buxom bombshell on the cover of the latest fitness or weight loss product, something happens.  We get excited.  We may even get very excited!

Unfortunately, this is something that many in the fitness industry are preying on. They know this and use it to their huge advantage.  The process is simple: put a great looking and in-shape guy or girl on a product and it will sell.  They don’t even have to tell you you’ll look like that person - they already know your subconscious will assume it will happen.  When you're desperate to burn fat, this is an easy game for the fitness industry to play.

And of course a few weeks later if it doesn’t, you may start to lose hope and realize that it’s going to be tough to keep up with the unrealistic and overly strict guidelines.   You’ve got a life, right?  Sure, you want to burn fat, but you’ve got a job, maybe a family, and other interests in life.  Don’t get me wrong, I love a great fat burning workout, but I know you don’t want to spend every waking hour for the rest of your life working out!

Are You Caught Up In A Cycle Of Fat Loss & Fitness Confusion?

As a member of a popular fitness center for a few years, I noticed countless others frustrated with their fat burning exercise routines and eating practices, working so hard and long but with virtually no improvement to show for it.
